About Pocular

Built from the evaluations that actually decide deals

Pocular is the Proof of Concept management platform that helps enterprise teams structure technical evaluations and achieve Vendor of Choice alignment — grounded in practices refined across decades of real POCs, not a slide deck.

The problem we lived

Technical evaluations are supposed to answer a simple question: which product actually fits? In practice, they often become a contest of narratives. Spreadsheets multiply. Requirements drift. Status lives in inboxes. And when several vendors are in flight at once, it becomes nearly impossible to see who is ahead — or why.

We watched strong products lose ground not because they failed the technical bar, but because another vendor’s story was louder, cleaner, and easier for executives to retell. Marketing momentum filled gaps that evidence should have owned. The best engineering work in the room was invisible if it wasn’t captured against a shared scorecard.

That gap — between what was proven in the POC and what survived the readout — is what we set out to close.

What we needed

We needed a way to measure evaluations objectively: the same requirements for every vendor, weighted priorities that stakeholders agree on up front, evidence attached to every claim, and a pace that keeps the process honest.

Buyers needed a defensible trail from RFP to Vendor of Choice. Vendors needed a structured workspace that rewarded substance over theater. Both sides needed one game plan — not parallel versions of the truth.

Where the practice comes from

Pocular is built by practitioners who have run and survived complex Proof of Concepts across industries — including work with Fortune 100 to local startups. We have sat on both sides of the table: proving product-fit as vendors, and scoring vendors as buyers under real executive scrutiny.

What you see in the product is not a greenfield theory of how evaluations “should” work. It is the operating discipline we wish every high-stakes POC had used — distilled from roughly twenty years of technical evaluation experience into workflows teams can run tomorrow.

What we believe

Best practices from the field

These are the operating principles behind Pocular — the ones we saw separate defensible Vendor of Choice decisions from evaluations that collapsed into theater.

Define scope before demos

Lock requirements and priorities early. A POC without a shared scope becomes a guided tour — and tours favor whoever presents best, not whoever fits best.

Score requirements, not slides

Every claim should map to a weighted requirement with a clear status. Executive readouts should reflect the scorecard, not a rebranded pitch deck.

Keep a verifiable trail

Timestamped responses, verification, and audit-ready summaries make outcomes survivable under legal, security, and finance review — not just the evaluation committee.

Protect buyer judgment

Buyers need private notes and competitive context. Vendors need a clean collaboration surface. Those worlds must not leak into each other.

Pace the evaluation

Milestones, owners, and workflow states keep POCs moving without collapsing into last-minute theater. Structure is how you protect the integrity of the decision.

Why Pocular exists

Enterprise teams should not reinvent evaluation process for every RFP. Pocular encodes the structure, scoring, evidence trail, and collaboration boundaries that keep POCs fair — so Vendor of Choice decisions rest on verified outcomes, not the loudest narrative in the room.

We are a focused company building for a serious problem. The methods behind the product have been proven in the field for a long time. The platform is how we make those methods available to every evaluation team that needs them.
